Lantern final shoot

The first lantern shoot didn't go well due to the dull colours and the set of for the images.  I had organised someone to come and help me shoot this time by holding the new lanterns and spinning them when needed.

As I am on a tight budget, I went to Ikea to see if I could find any good objects or props.  I came across some brightly coloured pop out shapes and some lanterns for £3 and under.  Wedding trends for S/S17 are bold colours and caribbean themes.

The still life studio was now available for us to use, so when I found out when my assistant Ellie was free I booked a two hour slot.

I was really pleased with how the shoot turned out.  However, for the future I know to carry certain things in my kit.  Such as string, thread and scissors.  Luckily, Ellie had not arrived yet so I asked if she could bring hers for me to use.  Reflecting on this, I should have been more organised for this photoshoot.  So next time I am going to make a check list of items I may need if a problem occurs.

The top three images are my favourite because of the beautiful bold colours and the lighting.  The images look fresh and bright which is definitely in trend for S/S 17.  Bright, airy and relaxed are some key words for Wedding themes next year.
