I have started playing around on Adobe Muse to get an idea of my first draft of The Wedding Forecaster. Now that I have decided on a font, I can definitely start designing.
I started with the title and chose a navy blue font as this isn't as harsh as plain black. I also decided typical black and white is common so I wanted to be different. I then moved onto the tab bar. My original tabs were, Home, About Us, Fashion, Food & Drink, Flowers, Beauty. However once I started planning photoshoots, I realised I would not have enough time to complete each section. This meant I had to scale it down, but I could put more effort into each tab. I then decided to change the tabs to, Home, Fashion, Beauty, Decor and Flowers. All of these were achievable for me and I already had some photoshoots planned.
This is what I have so far
This is the master page which means whatever changes I create to this, will affect the whole website. I am glad I chose to use Adobe Muse rather than Wix because it is just a blank page that you can do anything with, rather than using a template on Wix. I also won't have the problem of Wix advertising at the bottom of my website.
When the viewer clicks on different pages on the website, I wanted there to be an indication for them to see what page they're on. I created a pink rectangle over the name of each tab which will be active when that section is selected.
I chose this shade of pink because it isn't too bright and is also on the S/S17 Pantone chart. I also think it is noticeable for the viewer and compliments the navy blue well.
